Last weekend we hopped up to Warwick as Rectec had the pleasure of participating in TEAM’s 10th annual conference and 30th birthday celebration, hosted in the elegant surroundings of the Chesford Grange Hotel (It only seemed right that a room of such talented professionals were put up in such a grand, picturesque setting!)
As TEAM celebrated such a significant milestone, they truly upped their game. This year’s conference was their largest and most impressive yet, drawing in over 350 members and solution providers. The atmosphere was electric, with a palpable sense of excitement and camaraderie in the air.
Industry-loved Hung Lee and Olympian Sally Gunnell (OBE DL) headlined the event, delivering insightful and motivational talks that left the audience inspired. Our very own Henna Makwana also took the stage, sharing her expertise in the fields of recruitment and talent acquisition, contributing to the range of knowledge and insights exchanged across the two days.
Networking was a key component of the conference, with opportunities to connect and collaborate at every turn. The event spaces were alive with conversations, as attendees forged new relationships and strengthened existing ones. It was a reminder of the power of face-to-face interactions in our increasingly digital world.
The highlight of the conference for many was undoubtedly the 90’s themed gala dinner. The attendees fully embraced the theme, with outfits ranging from vibrant shell suits to characters from Mario Kart. The evening was a nostalgic journey back in time, complete with a 90’s themed disco that had everyone on their feet.
When thinking back to the night, Rectec founder and CEO Rob Green says
“I distinctly remember declaring that nothing could drag me onto the dance floor. Yet, as the night progressed and the DJ spun classic 90’s hits, I found myself dancing with abandon, slamming my body down and winding it all around to the familiar beats. It was a moment of pure, unadulterated joy that encapsulated the spirit of the conference.”
None of the learning, networking (and dancing) would have been possible without the incredible efforts of the fantastic members of TEAM. Their meticulous planning and seamless execution ensured that the conference ran smoothly and was enjoyable for all. Their hard work and dedication truly paid off, resulting in an event that will be remembered for years to come.
As we reflect on our time at the conference, we’re filled with a sense of gratitude and anticipation. Thankful for the opportunity to connect with so many talented and passionate individuals, and excited for what the future holds. Events like these remind us why we do what we do and fuel our passion for the industry.
